Financial Analyst (cost Accountant) - Full Time - Days

JOB TITLE : Financial Analyst – Cost Accountant

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-exempt

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Finance

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Finance

POSITION SUMMARY:

Enhances the productivity of Finance teams by performing assigned accounting duties Perform financial analysis on operations (with a special emphasis on cost accounting for production-related activities), advise management teams in the maximization of revenues and reimbursement methodologies, and assist with the development and utilization of budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field

One year of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting

Preferred Education, Training & Experience:

Experience developing budgets and financial reports

Three years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing setting

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Functional knowledge of accounting process is required

Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications is required

Highly developed analytical skills

Ability to:

-Understand accounting and finance concepts and communicate them effectively & efficiently to many organizational levels

-Interpret quantitative and qualitative data

-Pursue knowledge of the business to produce better and more useful information

-Effectively work within tight timeframes and deadlines

-Assess and prioritize responsibilities

-Effectively utilize time and other resources

SALARY:

$30.75-32.25 per hour based on experience
