Role Description

The IT Project Manager (Mid-Level) is responsible for managing and delivering technology projects from initiation through completion. This role will oversee IT and infrastructure-related projects, including network deployments, system upgrades, and client-driven initiatives.

This position requires a strong ability to execute projects independently while collaborating with senior leadership for strategic direction. The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

The IT Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between internal teams, clients, and vendors, while continuing to develop leadership and project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple IT and infrastructure projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation
• Coordinate internal teams (engineering, operations, recruiting) and external vendors
• Track project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
• Provide regular status updates and reporting to stakeholders and leadership
• Ensure projects meet quality standards and client expectations
• Support process improvements and contribute to project management best practices
• Assist in mentoring junior team members when needed

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in IT project management or a related role
• Experience managing IT infrastructure, networking, or technical service projects
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to generate reports and track project metrics
• Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification or working toward certification
• Experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, or low-voltage environments
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
• Experience working with vendors and managing client relationships

Work Environment

• Full-time, on-site
• Based in Houston, TX
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs
