Property Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Property Maintenance Technician to join our team at a busy, large residential property.

This is a hands-on position with a variety of responsibilities, including apartment turnovers, resident work orders, preventative maintenance, repairs, and general property upkeep. This position also works closely with the management office to coordinate maintenance needs, keep work orders updated, and provide professional communication with residents regarding maintenance in their homes.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, is dependable, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Previous property maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should have a general understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and maintenance practices, along with the ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions. We value individuals who are mechanically inclined, have strong problem-solving skills, and are willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Work closely with the management office to coordinate, prioritize, and maintain accurate updates on work orders
• Communicate professionally with residents regarding maintenance needs and repairs
• Complete apartment turnovers and prepare vacant units for new residents
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, identify problems, and determine appropriate solutions
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general maintenance
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance
• Maintain buildings, common areas, grounds, and the overall appearance of the property
• Identify and communicate larger repair or property needs to management
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

Qualifications

• Previous property or apartment maintenance experience preferred, but not required
• General knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and maintenance
• Strong overall troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage changing priorities
• Good communication skills and the ability to work professionally with residents and staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and take on a variety of maintenance responsibilities

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications.
