About the Role

Brightside Academy is seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Human Resources to lead our HR function and support the organization's continued growth.

The VP of HR will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute people strategies focused on talent acquisition, employee relations, retention, engagement, organizational development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the organization's overall HR and people strategy.

• Oversee talent acquisition, retention, employee engagement, and employee relations.

• Advise senior leadership and Center Directors on complex HR and employee matters.

• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and HR policies.

• Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, and HR operations.

• Develop HR metrics and use people analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Lead succession planning, leadership development, and talent programs.

• Manage and develop the HR team.

• Support organizational risk management and other cross-functional initiatives.

• Travel between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh locations as needed.

• This position is responsible for establishing and coordinating all aspects of the human resources function including annual planning in Q4 to present for the following year, maintaining Action Plans weekly/monthly/quarterly.

• Maintain Human Resources and Talent KPI s, metrics and strategies which focus on employee engagement, retention/turnover, performance management, and talent promotions.

• Responsible for leveraging technology and people analytics to monitor HR Metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field .

• 20+ years of Director- or Officer-level HR experience.

• Proven experience leading HR teams and developing HR strategies.

• Strong knowledge of employee relations, compliance, talent management, compensation, benefits, and risk management.

• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.

Master's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
