The Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator in Training (OIT) takes part in the overall operations of drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities and components. Duties include conducting routine water and wastewater tests, entering data, collecting regulatory samples, and performing basic maintenance and repairs. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, maintaining facility cleanliness, and availability for on-call emergencies. Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule.
Work Location: This position requires regular travel between multiple sites in Northern Dutchess and Columbia Counties, including Hyde Park, Germantown, and Hillsdale, New York.
